The 1.3.1 installer that was available until now, still had a 1.3 executable in it. I messed up the installer build process this morning :(. I uploaded a correct installer build now. Sorry for the inconvenience.
ID3-Sync 1.3.1 is a bugfix for the 1.3 version release 2 days ago. If you had no up to date Windows Media Player installed ID3-Sync crashed when trying to open the edit window. This is now fixed. Thanks to Tony Matous for reporting this bug.
With version 1.3, ID3-Sync gets support for WMA tagging as well as WMA and OGG playback. This version does not use DirectX for playback anymore, but instead relies on Windows Media Player. This release also includes a translated german user interface. For more details see the changelog.
To be able to playback OGG files your must install a OGG DirectShow filter (illimniable or OggDS). You probably also want to take a look at this site and apply the fix they offer.
ID3-Sync is a freeware meta tag editor written by Christoph Brüser.
Yes, I already hear you screaming: yet another id3 tagger. But I promise this one is different. It is not just another mass tagger/renamer. The idea for this tool came from a friend of mine. He needed something to get all those single mp3s he had lying around, all with inconsistent names and tags, nicely tagged and named.
Let us assume that each file contains a least some correct information, for example: you might have a mp3 which has the correct artist in the filename, the correct title is in the id3v2 tag whilst the id3v1 tag contains the name of the album. ID3-Sync presents you with a simple and fast interface to select the correct information from these different sources. It then updates the id3v1 and id3v2 tags and renames your file according to a pattern you can specify. But see it yourself.

ID3-Sync requires an installed .NET Framework 1.1 (or higher) to run!
